Privacy Policy

This page explains what data pirio accesses, why we access it, and how you can control your permissions at any time.

pirio only requests the minimum permissions required to run your approved data pipelines, and your synced marketing data stays in your own BigQuery environment.

1. Introduction

Welcome to pirio ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you connect pirio to your Google Cloud projects and BigQuery services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining transparent data practices.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before granting permissions. By connecting pirio to your Google Cloud projects, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your information as described below.

2. Google Cloud Integration and Permissions

When you connect pirio to your Google Cloud environment, we request specific permissions to access your Google Cloud projects and BigQuery services. These permissions are required for pirio to deliver its core functionality.

2.1 Permissions We Request

We request permission to:

  • Access your Google Cloud projects
  • Write data to your BigQuery datasets and tables
  • Execute queries on your BigQuery services
  • View and manage project-related resources as needed

You are explicitly asked to grant these permissions through Google's consent screen before any access occurs.

2.2 Scope of Access

When you grant permissions:

  • We only access the Google Cloud projects you authorize
  • We only write to the datasets and tables required for requested functionality
  • Our access remains limited to approved scopes
  • You can revoke permissions anytime through Google Cloud IAM settings

3. Google Sign-In Information

When you sign in with your Google account, we access basic profile information for authentication and account management. This typically includes your name, email address, and profile picture.

This access is provided through Google's standard openid, email, and profile OAuth scopes. We use this information solely to verify identity, recognize your account in pirio, and display profile details in the product interface.

We do not access or store additional Google user data during sign-in beyond this basic profile information.

4. How We Use Your Google Cloud Access

We use the access you grant to Google Cloud and BigQuery only for the following purposes:

  • Writing data to your BigQuery tables as requested
  • Processing and executing queries on your BigQuery services
  • Integrating with your Google Cloud projects as specified
  • Providing core data management functionality in pirio
  • Enabling data flows between your authorized systems and BigQuery

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your cloud resources for purposes unrelated to pirio services
  • Access projects or datasets beyond what you explicitly authorize
  • Modify your Google Cloud configurations outside service scope

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Data Storage

  • We store only the minimum information needed to provide services
  • We may cache limited data temporarily to improve performance
  • We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your data

5.2 Data Sharing with Third Parties

  • We do not sell, transfer, or share Google user data obtained through OAuth scopes (including your email, profile information, or authentication tokens) with external third parties, except where strictly required to operate pirio (for example, essential hosting infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations).
  • Advertising platform data is inserted directly into your designated BigQuery project under your control, and pirio does not share this data from your BigQuery project with other parties.

6. Your Control Over Your Data

6.1 Permission Management

  • You can review and modify permissions granted to pirio at any time
  • To revoke access, manage service accounts and permissions in Google Cloud Console IAM settings
  • You can disconnect pirio from your projects at any time by removing relevant permissions

6.2 Data Deletion

  • You can request data deletion by contacting us
  • When you disconnect pirio, we stop accessing new data from your Google account

7. Updates to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. We will notify material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Privacy Policy on our website
  • Updating the "Last updated" date on this page
